Pax Dei

I worked as Senior environment artist on a project Pax Dei. The project is still in early access and I moved on to other project before it was finished so most of the screenshots shown here are not final art and some of them might not even be in the game anymore. The work was created and captured between 2019 and 2023. I decided however still it might be nice to post some of the work here.

A common process I used for making most of the environmnets

I did a PCG setup for the cave modules. Basically whenever there is a light volume the green vegetation growth would happen. And for the rest of the areas there would be a default less intense vegetation scattering going on.

Quarry module sculpts I made for a quarry set.

A sculpt process I used to make these rock modules in a relatively short time. I made first a set out of photoscanned surfaces I could use to quickly kind of kidbash cool shapes which I would then at the end merge together and sculpt the rest of the areas

Adventure site robbed car. I did quite many ā€œAdventure sitesā€ to the project. These were mostly done by kitbashing existing assets so not everything was made by me. But it was fun to come up with all kind of different locations out of existing assets
